An independent Minecraft launcher,
built openly.

No telemetry. No corporate owner. Open source under GPLv3, so you don't have to take our word for it.

Built differently, on purpose.

Owned by no one

No investors, no acquirer, no ad network. Personal project, built in the open. If that ever changes, GPLv3 means the community can fork it and keep going - legally.

Private by default

Zero analytics. Zero crash reporters. Zero SDKs phoning home. PostHog, Sentry, and Intercom are all gone. The code is public - verify it yourself instead of trusting a policy.

3 trackers removed

Built on open source

Forked from Modrinth's Theseus launcher under GPLv3. We stripped the telemetry and rebuilt the UI. Full history is on GitHub - nothing hidden about where it came from.

Mods from Modrinth

Browse and install directly from Modrinth inside the launcher. CurseForge support is planned. We'll say so when it's ready, not before.

How LuniVex compares

Factual. No spin. Check it yourself.

The honest answers

Yes, and it stays free. There's a Ko-fi if you want to support development, but nothing in the launcher is paywalled.
The source code is public on GitHub. Read exactly what it does before running it. Mods come from Modrinth, which does its own vetting.
Modrinth was acquired by Spark Universe in early 2026. LuniVex was already in development as a clean fork of their open-source launcher. The acquisition made the independence angle more relevant - it wasn't the reason we started.
Not at launch. Minimal, non-intrusive ads may be added in the future to help fund development - nothing like Feather Client's stacked background ads. If it ever happens, it will be disclosed here first.
The repo is on GitHub. Issues and PRs are open. For art, building, or macOS/Linux testing, reach out on Discord. Contributors get credited on the Team page.
