Why trust LuniVex?

We could just say "trust us." Here's the structure that makes that unnecessary.

01

The license is your exit

LuniVex is licensed under GPLv3. The full source is public, and if the project ever goes somewhere you don't like - acquired, ads, changed terms - you can fork it. The community owns the codebase in the way that actually matters: legally. You don't have to trust us. The license is the guarantee.

02

No telemetry. Verifiable.

The original Theseus launcher shipped with PostHog analytics, Sentry crash reporting, and an Intercom SDK. All three are gone. You can verify by reading the source - the dependencies aren't there. We're not asking you to believe a privacy policy.

03

Built on Modrinth's Theseus

LuniVex is a fork of Modrinth's open-source launcher (Theseus), licensed GPLv3. We rebranded it, stripped the telemetry, and rebuilt the UI. Modrinth's original work is the foundation and we credit it openly - the license requires it and we're glad to.

04

No corporate owner

An independent personal project. No investors, no parent company. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed publicly.

05

What about ads?

Minimal ads may be added in the future to help fund development. Not at launch. If it happens it will be disclosed here first, and it will never be anything like Feather Client's approach - no stacked ads, no background processes.

06

What we use your data for

Nothing. The launcher talks to Modrinth's API to browse and install mods, and to Mojang's auth servers to sign in. That's it. No usage stats, no error reports, no identifiers sent anywhere.
