If you've visited the site before, you might notice something different. The chibi on the Plus page has changed. The 404 page has a new face sweeping up the mess. That's Syl, and this is her introduction.
Vesper was the original LuniVex mascot - a chibi anime girl with silver hair and a violet laptop. She worked fine as a placeholder, but she never really had a personality beyond the design. Syl is something different. She's composed, calm, quietly authoritative. The kind of person who doesn't need to raise her voice. She fits the tone of LuniVex better - not loud, not flashy, just quietly capable.
Her design is black and white - black maid dress, white apron, silver crescent hair pin. No unnecessary detail. Clean and distinct.
I'll be honest about the current art: it's AI generated. GPT image gen as a placeholder while the real commission gets sorted. It's good enough to establish the direction but it's not the final look. When the proper art is done - hand drawn, commissioned from a real artist - we'll do a proper update. The placeholder is temporary, Syl is not.
She shows up in two places right now: the LuniVex+ page reading a book, and the 404 page sweeping up with a broom and her eyes closed, completely unbothered. More placements will come as the site and launcher develop.
